Günsel underlined that although the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is a small state in the world in terms of its surface area and population, thanks to the determination and hard work of its people, it has become an exemplary state with its works such as the Near East University and Hospital, which strive to take the standards accepted in the world today further, with its successful practices in the fields of science and health and its high technology. Günsel emphasized that the unity of the official authorities of the Republic of Turkey and the TRNC created a very important and meaningful picture in the announcement of this award given to the Near East University Hospital in particular and to the TRNC in general on an international platform.
In his speech, Mustafa Kemal Gökeri emphasized that the representation of Northern Cyprus in international platforms strengthens the TRNC State and stressed that ”the speech of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University at the opening ceremony attended by 72 countries, in which he explained the people, historical and touristic richness of Northern Cyprus, was extremely important for the promotion of the country. Önal Dorak emphasized that the number of third age group tourists who prefer Northern Cyprus has increased as NEU Hospital guarantees the health of tourists and thus tourism has developed on healthier foundations, and that the initiative taken by NEU in bringing medical tourism to Northern Cyprus will make a significant contribution to the promotion and economy of the country, and expressed his gratitude to the Founding Rector Dr. Dr. Dorak and the Near East Family.
